How can we guide our new affiliates in a way that prevents or minimizes information overload?

We can provide guidance to our Affiliates without causing them to feel overwhelmed.

You can do this by:
1. Instructing them to start with "Getting Started Actions" on their To-do list.

2. See if they have any difficulties with these first steps, by making email or phone contact with them.

Remember that SFI also provides data to your Affiliates consistently throughout their first 31 days.

To guide the new affiliates without overload information is to share the basic and the most important aspects of the business to them that can guide them on a good start, which are:
1. A warm welcome to SFI and to your team and introduction of yourself to build trust.
2. Affirming the genuity of SFI in fulfulling the purpose they signed up.
3. Emphasis on the Getting Started on their To Do List and the importance.

When we are in the process of guiding our affiliates, in the beginning of their journey with SFI, we are excited to see them perform and be regular and try to give them all we know in one capsule that probably overloads them with information and creates a sort of fear and pressure that they are unwilling to take. Everyone wants to go easy and for this reason you as a sponsor should show patience with them.

First of all, we have to realise that new Affiliates do receive information from different sources through messages or otherwise either from SFI, their Sponsors or their Co-Sponsors. Hence it is very necessary that we prevent or minimize information overload as we communicate or interact with them.

Information overload is part of the reasons why some affiliates decide to opt out of SFI or to block their sponsors. As a new affiliate you receive numerous emails from SFI, if your sponsor and co-sponsor are also sending you various communications you can easily get tired. So as a sponsor it is crucial that you are careful not to send too many messages to your downline.

I would suggest using "I can help"-type ecards to contact your new affiliates after they have had a day or so to visit your Leadership page, and have received some welcoming/information emails from SFI. This should give them enough time to have read Start and Basics, and have some Launchpads read.

Also, use stream posts to pass bits of information to all your downline all 3 times available per week for AVPs. As you go along, sometimes effective to send PSA mailer, and CSA stream

This a really good question on how we can guide new affiliates to minimize or prevent information overload.

On the one hand, we want new affiliates to get started on the right foot and to be able to take advantage of Fast Start and to do mainly the Daily and Weekly Tasks in their To-Do-List.

Some affiliates get lots of VP in the beginning but use up all the VP that should be saved for following months in order to continue with their SFI business. This can lead to discouragement

Your question is very important because we should not guide our affiliates in such a way that overloads them with information on SFI that and they get scared and run away just after registering itself.



The following methods may help:

1. In your welcome letter, just introduce yourself. Tell them you are their sponsor and would always help/support and guide them 24x7x365.

According to Wikipedia, information overload refers to the:

" difficulty a person can have understanding an issue and making decisions that can be cause by the presence of too much information. It occurs when the amount of input to a system exceeds its processing capacity. "

The first communication to the new affiliate should be kept very simple. It can indicate:

1. A brief introduction of the Sponsor;
2. A hearty welcome to the Team;
3. Affirming full support to the growth of the new affiliate &
4. Asking how as a Sponsor he /she can help?
5. Is there any questions which can be clarified?

By sending a communication on these lines, the new affiliate will understand the role of the Sponsor
