If you don't yet have a good enough S.F.I.'s Team and you are planning on becoming a good Team Leader,this could be the time for you to review all of your old knowledge and also require some new knowledge too. Because when you lead a group of people to their goals in life,it will require for you and your new group to also have the understanding of what everyone is getting their selves,into. you don't want to be no where that you don't want to go. So by regaining all of the Leadership training that you probably didn't get in the first place will make everyone smarter and a lots happier.

by the rules of the SFI can be the team leader if you do not have that team members

As I go thru and read/rate the ASK SC questions daily, I see that there is a 50/50 split of members saying yes or no.

In my opinion, this is something that you, yourself will have to consider.

Myself, I jumped right in and became a BTL my 1st month and have been able to retain it since(for the last 6 months).

Why did I choose to do this? The answer, for me, is simple.

1- I set my budget for investment. In my case, I have an SO that will provide the necessary SVP to get myself to EA and beyond.

2- Besides the needed 1500 SVP that we need to gain EA, we also need to gain AVP. In my case, logging in daily and completing tasks; and participating in PB gains me the necessary AVP to gain BTL.

3- Every month that I have re-qualified BTL, I have received shares of Second Home CSA's. The shares that I have received have been between 40 to 99. I received 99 1 month because I was actually able to qualify as STL.

To get back to the question of why I did this: I would say that I took an aggressive approach to build my business. I like to see the myself grow as well as my team.

Now, will this method work for you. Only you can answer that question.

Building a team is not the issue. If you are dedicated to building your business and qualify as an EA every month, you will receive 2 CSA's. Having an active team is what we need.

Should you go for the rank of TL? I would say that if you have a desire to gain new team members, some which will be more active, and grow you business then Yes you should.

As you can see from all the answers people have many good reasons to become or not to become team leaders.
I want to come from a different viewpoint and answer with a question of my own.

What do you have the capability to sustain?
If you can maintain a standing order to stay ea, then there should be no problem sustaining and maintaining a bronze status. Due to the advantages and perks I see no reason not to do this.

To add to this, many others are focusing on recruitment to drive and sustain their rank.
I would like to point out that if you can sell TripleClicks products, you can earn commissions and VP as well. I believe this is actually just as if not more important as recruiting. Think about it this way, you sell TC products, you earn commissions and VP, the VP helps to maintain or increase rank, and the commissions can go to purchasing PSA and CSA. You build you team and manage your rank all at the same time.

SFI attaches the name of team leader to bronze, silver, etc, but I feel like these titles are more of an indicator of your OVERALL success and participation in SFI. That is the beauty of SFI. There is more than one way to skin a cat (please don't skin a cat =P ) as the saying goes. You are not limited by how you can achieve, earn, and succeed.

To sum up my answer: You should attain the rank you are sure you can maintain. Teams are not the end game, success is. If you achieve success, the teams will follow. Success is the sign of a leader, and people follow leaders.

SFI is very generous to give you CSAs monthly if you are a leader and it is very easy as well to gain PSA through several ways: joining the Bid and Build in TripleClicks, purchasing PSAs to go, having an Standing order of S-Builder etc. Super easy right?

I set my goal to reach the highest ranking as I could because I want my future PSAs and CSAs to see that I as a leader of my own affiliates is very serious with my SFI business. I believe that the badges and ranking that I gain and earn are good motivations for my current and future members. And they will soon duplicate the steps I did to make my SFI a successful business for me and for them.
