To answer this question correctly (without making assumptions) without knowing your exact items or methods of obtaining the items.

There are circumstances that need to be addressed to fully answer this I will focus on what I believe are the most important factors.

1. Digital items for sale. Sell these to everybody no physical shipping involved.
2. Drop Shipped items. Sell wherein the company delivery areas.
3. Items that are Red Hot and that are in such a great demand

This depends on the price of what you are selling.

Something to keep in mind: People are still going to shop around for the best deal. If what you are putting online is a lot more than what they can run down the street for they are going to run down the street.

With that being said, can you keep the price to a reasonable standard if you ship over seas? Are you going to have to charge $20-$30 for shipping a $20 item? If the answer is yes, just keep it in your own country.

I think what really matters is the experience you brought in with you, the type of products you sell and your financial standing.

1. Your experience in sales and shipping will be important in determining what methods you want to apply. If you are fairly inexperienced and the type that requires a long learning curve, then it may be wise to concentrate in your region for a while and this period of transition will depend on how long it takes you to overcome these short comings.

2.

I made a research of the shipping cost from my country to different parts of the world and when I added it to the price of the items I want to sell The price became unattractive, as I compared it when the item is purchased locally. The only advantage is the buyer will earn VP if he will buy my item.

So here is my conclusion in selling items at TripleClicks as ECA.

1. I will sell physical items locally or with in my region - The main reason is the shipment cost. I will also try

Hello Tricia.

As fairly new ECA, I think you mean someone that has no prior experience with an own shop?

It is quite hard and a lot to learn for a newcomer with a new shop.
He needs to learn the basic laws and regulations to owning a shop in his country (regulations, accounting, taxes, ...) as well as those for his products like detailed declarations. He also needs to present himself from day zero in the public and enter business / sales exhibitions and much more to do

Personally I like to limit the selling of my Clothing to my Country as Shipping Costs can be very expensive.
With living in New Zealand I would worry whether the parcel arrived to an overseas address. So I prefer to offer my garments to Kiwi and Aussie citizens.

First impressions are so important. Dealing with customers requirements are essential.
I also sell products that involve no posting. So these are purchased World Wide.
I make sure to reply to all purchases within

Hi Tricia,

If you live outside of the United States, you will probably be are able to sell items in other countries.
It is very expensive to send products out of the United States, so it would probably be a good idea to sell just in the United States.

The reason?
I use a drop shipper, but they do not ship outside the United States, so I decided to try to ship products to other countries myself.
I was selling a product to a nice affiliate that lives in Australia.
I

This is a very valid question.

From a non cost perspective, whether you start local or sell international is really determined by:

What your are selling.
What you expected earning potenital is.
Your time to devote.
Your desire to grow.

If you are selling services as opposed to products, then its really irrelevant and rather you probalby want to sell to as many people as you can. However, if your are selling products, then your decision to sell

Good question Tricia.
Personally I am of the opinion that a fairly new ECA should confine their products to their own region. Take it step by step. Since the products are sold locally the ECA can save on the shipping and handling cost. By selling locally there are various options available to the purchaser as well as ECA. The purchaser will be able to collect the products personally or in certain instances the ECA can also hand deliver the products if it is within a permissible range or location.
