I'm not sure what approach you are using to attract new affiliates,if your using safelist, traffic exchanges, etc, then I would suggest maybe if you can afford them buying affiliates, they have some pretty good deals, but just like anything that has to do with signups there's no guarantee that they will be active. I have learned that you need to be so patient when it comes to using safelist and all the other advertising programs, it can get really discouraging fast. Hang in there you'll get past this.

If one approach to attract new affiliates isn't working, there are really only two viable options:
1) Fix what isn't working in your approach, or
2) Change your approach entirely.
Some people might suggest using PSA services offered in TripleClicks, while others will tell you to focus on networking with others in realtime and drawing affiliates face-to-face. I do a combination of the two. What are you currently doing? I would need to know that to give more specific advice.

It is not way to easy job;
it is not completely free 'cause one day they'll have to start buying credits and even Standing Order;
it is not few minutes per day job, etc.
Be original! Put something that will make you say, Hey I'm about to start working here!
And don't send just few ads today. Send even 300 - I do sometimes even more.

Your aproach is not working? Mine eather.:) So, I think the best thing is to change our aproach. To think of what was the thing which atracted You to join this great business, and use that to atract people to work in Your team.
You will than find persons similas to Yourself, and it will be easyer to work with them.
If that does not work, well...You can go to auctions to bid for PSAs, or You can buy them , puting up a standing order of S-builder. It depends on Your financials. There are a lot people on this world. I just KNOW that You will find Your 5 working PSAs.
Just do not give it up. Never. The chances are on Your side. It will happen, change Your add, change Your attitude from not getting sign ups to weeee I WILL ROCK this time. It sounds mabe strange but it works. Think and shine positive, get excited about Your business, and that will shine thorught Your advertising.

Well I would reexamine and scrutinize carefully all my advertising promotions and sponsoring activities and print out all the activities done and thereafter check out what brings me results and what don't that is the long and short of it is by tracking my advertising campaigns say on CraigLists and having say post to 50 US cities and after analysis found that only 5 bring me the results and certain text works best I would go focus re- posting the ads there And keep fine tuning and tweaking all my campaigns and platforms to see what bring me the requisite results and then go all out for it .
Don't give up persevere , persist and keep fine tuning and tweaking till you hit the home run

I am very busy and I could not attract too many new affiliates, but if one makes efforts to allocate some more time for this with enthusiasm, it is impossible not to find any. Also,you should take into consideration to purchase some packs of affiliates (PSAs, CSAs etc) from the ones you can find in TripleClicks. Just give it a search in the store and you'll have the possibility to find there lots of packs of affiliates at differents prices in accordance with the number of affiliates they contain. When you purchase a pack of more affiliates at one time, the chances to get some active ones are higher than when you try to attract affiliates one by one.
