The key phrase 'earn while you learn' netted a whopping 55 1/2 million results on Google. The phrase 'affiliate business opportunity' still came in a staggering 15 million results. These are examples of what are generally known as short tail keywords, which, as you can see, have a massive amount of competition and thereby are not good picks.

Now let's look at a couple more. The phrase 'earn while you learn to make a six figure income' netted in at 2,280,000 results and the phrase 'earn while you learn to earn a six figure income from home' came in slightly lower at 2,270,000 results. Can you see the difference?

To achieve the best results, you want to be choosing key words and key phrases that are strongly related to what you are promoting, whether your SFI business directly, or to get PRM or ECA signups at TripleClicks, or promoting a product from TripleClicks, that are unique enough so as to not have a lot of competition yet not so unique that people are not searching for your chosen set of key words or phrases.

You need to know that new algorithms makes that keywords are becoming less appreciated by search engines than key sentences. What to do then?

First step: use the right tools:

1- Download a software to find the right keywords and phrases to optimize your content and attract Web traffic like A1 Keyword Research on download.com.

2- Go to Google AdWord and use the tool called “Keyword Planner”. Use
You Tube to follow a training about this software if you are not confident with.

Second step: apply a method:

1- Do not rely on what you think to be the best words or phrases but more on what a search engine consider as genuine content.
Therefore research the top 15 affiliate marketing programs and use the software to analyse their metatags, keywords and key phrases. Why not to start with the SFI website but also your gateways?
Collect the data’s on an excel sheet. It is interesting to use this tool to check your own website and see what you have to add.

2- Use now Google AdWord with the words you got from the website keywords analyser software to get the traffic estimated for the word of group of words, the $$$ value of each words and much more.

3- Compare the global result with the analyze of your blog or website.
