I don’t think we are born leaders. All of us are born with some skills and yes, some are born with natural leadership skills, but the rest of us can learn that skills. There are many places where you can acquire these skills. SFI have a huge knowledge base in it’s ASK SC, Forums, a2a friends social network, EBooks and other products at TripleClicks store, Launch Pad Lessons, Articles, Tips and Alerts, etc. You can just click on any of the tabs for them or ask someone in SFI.
To be a Team Leader in SFI you need to be able to do certain things (Explaned in articles like "SFI's simple 3 step plan" and "How to be an awesome sposor"):
1. Become Executive Affiliate at first and then Team Leader.
2. Sponsor at least 5 active PSA’s (Personally Sponsored Affiliates).
3. Teach them to do the same.
To become EA you need to gather 1500 VersaPoints each month. SFI shows you how in easy steps. You can do it the easy way by getting a StandingOrder, but I suggest that you do it in the first 2 months at least by doing all your actions like Getting Started Actions, Intermediate Actions and Monthly, Weekly and Daily Actions, because by doing that you get to know the ins and outs of the business. Also read some of the articles and launch pad lessons. It not only provides you with valuable VP, but also teach you a lot at the same time.
To become a Team Leader you need to gather at least 3000 VersaPoints each month. That can be a maximum of 2000 SalesVP and 1000 ActionVP. A standing order of 1500VP plus other items bought and/or sold can provide you with the 2000SVP. The 1000AVP will have to be gathered by doing the actions on your To Do List everyday (About 497AVP/mth) plus by bidding in auctions, playing EagerZebra games, downloading songs and Member Listings. You can gather maximum 800AVP by doing these actions, but you need 800 TCredits to do it. So, to become Team Leader is going to take some investment, but every successful business needs some kind of investment, but later it would pay for it by itself.
To sponsor PSA’s you have to advertise or order them through an advertising co-op. Advertising can be done through free or paid ads. If you advertise it will take some investment in the form of time and/or money. If you are pressed for time the best option is to partake in an advertising co-op or order PSA’s from an ECA at TripleClicks, but that is going to need investment in the form of money.
To teach your PSA’s to do what you do is going to take a little bit more effort and skills. This is where leadership skills can be handy, but not the all and all. What I said previously about knowledge is beginning to count here and now. Everything that you would have learned about the business if you did all the actions mentioned above, is going to be very valuable to you from here on. Knowledge is power and it will give you the confidence to lead your team. Also you would have learned many leadership skills applicable to SFI.
You will also have gathered quite a substantial amount of VP and Badges so far that you would be quite the example that your team members would want to follow if they want to become like you, Successful. You can’t expect someone to do something you haven’t done or achieved. If you did, they will also want to. Now all you have to do further is make them feel welcome and cared for, guide them through all the steps you went through, point out the stumbling blocks you came across and the mistakes you made, motivate them and reward them and there you have it. You are a SFI team leader.
