Absolutely!! SFI is a business,so it is imperative that you not only capture an interested party's email address,but correspond with them and form a relationship, and you do this via an autoresponder. Remember to set up your autoresponder according to your campaign, and your campaign should be the topics of your blog. For example, if you are an ECA as well as an affiliate, you would want to promote your product/s, so write some interesting blogs about your product/s, and ensure you place some links within your blog leading to a capture page. You then need to link your autoresponder to that capture page, create some friendly reply emails that give a little more information about your product or services. It is important though not to bombard your new prospective customer with email after email full of sales pitches, not immediately anyway, first you must create a relationship with them, let them know a little about you, get them to warm to you. Then on about the 3rd or 4th autoresponder email, tell them what your product does and why they need it, put the sales pitch on but don't be too heavy. You should then leave it for 6-7 days and follow up with another email asking if they took advantage of your offer, maybe offer something new or even offer a discount.

You no doubt have heard the saying 'the money is in the list', well that is so true. So research and prepare your sales campaign, write your blogs, and then program your autoresponder to reply accordingly.

By all means set up an email capture so you can follow up with interested people, but I would discourage you from using autoresponders for your SFI business for a few reasons.

+ After a new affiliate joins your team they will already be receiving emails from SFI.

Over the years I have been here I have had many people opt-out of SFI using the reason 'too many emails'. By subscribing them to an autoresponder of your own you will just exacerbate the problem and may find others drop out of your team as well.

+ A more personal direct approach to your team members and prospects will bring you more activity.

Autoresponders are impersonal, even if you can customise the subscribers name in the email. There are so many people using autoresponders they are becoming disliked by people. Your direct, personal contact with your team members and prospects will be more welcome than an automated email.

+ Being a REAL person rather than an automated bot is much more fun and you will make more friends :-)

An email capture and auto-responder on your blog would most certainly be a good thing to do. Depending on what your websites function is there could be a variety of different things you could set up as a follow up series.

For example if it is a general information about SFI kind of website then you could follow up with a series about the history of SFI, what the functions are and also the benefits of been an SFI or TripleClicks member are. After this is done you could slowly lead the way into sponsoring the contact in to the business.

Maybe your blog is for your affiliates only - Here you could follow up with a training series to teach your affiliates how you are achieving your success. Take them step by step with little actions weekly which could increase their income. Every little detail can then be passed on to their team as suited.

Either way, if you set up an auto-responder you will be capturing lead data, which to me is important in any online business.

I would recommend having pages for your businesses and opportunities, but also for the things that you like to do. After all, nobody wants to be bored by a blog--they want to be informed, entertained, or persuaded.

For some of us, SFI-related material is best left in the form of our gateway links because so much on those pages can speak more eloquently on the subject than we can. Definitely yes, but there is something that I believe has to be said:

In my opinion it is very important that you generate trust between the people that read your blog and yourself. Every time you finish your blog post try and generate a conversation, promote those conversations to give support, get support, and most importantly, get people to know who you are and trust you.

When you can build trust you will be able to let them join your list, what are the benefits of being on your list? What extra things can you offer to only members of the list that normal blog readers will not receive?

When the list starts to grow, set up your autoresponder after some kind of action that the readers make, create a daily or weekly e-mail that will be sent after that action has been made. Let them know what projects you are currently working on, how they can participate in them, what benefits they will receive through those projects, etc.

People say money is on the list, but that list has to be composed by people that trust you, that know what you are doing and are aligned to what you do. Do not just offer lots of sales pitches in all your e-mails, send value through your e-mails and you will receive value back!

Blogs, websites and emails are all online marketing tools that help us interact with readers, opportunity seekers, change them into potential prospects and possibly get them to sign up with SFI as our own PSAs or ECAs.

Basically, your question is: How to get that reader to provide us with the information we need to interact with them, engage a dialogue that will lead them to the desired path and end result.

To be more specific about blogs, they are used to inform readers and online opportunity seekers.

The point is to make your blog a effective marketing tool. Thus you should consider every aspect that may help do so, in conjunction with capture pages and autoresponders or not. In some cases, they may be useful; in other instances, they may slow you down as well as your prospects.

We will discuss
(i) Blogs most common features,

I personally would not set up a capture on my blog.That limits you as to where you can advertise it.Many traffic exchanges do not like them.

I am one of the lucky ones here.I have older blogs with subjects such as how to blog successfully,how to succeed in network marketing etc.Put links to all your blogs in each other.Then advertise one blog a month.

Take your new blog and title it something about education in network marketing,not SFI in the title.There are so many of these out there already, that we are sometimes accused of spamming.

You have a better education on marketing than 90% of the marketers by just completing our training here on SFI! Put up banners for SFI and Tripleclicks on the sides of your blog.Do not mention SFI or T.C. in the script.People are not blind,they will see your banners.

Now place your cloaked links at the end of your page.Use 2 for SFI and 2 for Tripleclicks. Then ask for a Like or Follow Me.

You will be able to follow up better without missing a single interested visitor.
It ensures better email delivery as the prospectives entered the emails themselves.
You can also use them to measure how effective you blog efforts are.

What you put down on the series, depends largely on how you are set up and what impression you want your prospective to perceive. I would recommend that you use the autoresponder sparingly and make your messages as friendly and as helpful as possible. People can tell if an autoresponder is being used or not. You want your prospective to be confident that they are dealing with a human being and that if the join SFI that is how they will be treated.
