It would be very important to follow up new affiliates if not compulsory, to ensure they understand the SFI business and have a firm base of how to start growing, this just the right tradition. As many new affiliate though its a get fast riches biz, which we need to really make sure we explain to them before they turn down the business opportunity.
Starting with a good welcome message, our follow up messages must be very encouraging and must state clearly how much we are ready to help them through the basis until the become pros and start earning as they wish.
Just in case you have been using Auto responder for new affiliates, I think its not going to meet their present challenge, your follow up message must be personal, its kinda stressful but it is worth it. I have spoken to some ex-affiliates who complained about messages everyday, so one has to be careful to send messages with useful information that would help build a sponsor- affiliate relationship.
Most times I do have to send a very short Welcome message with useful links so as not to bore them on the first day with too much notes, because I hate notes my self. I send links which leads to their Launch Pad, SFI Videos, Getting Started, and To-Do List because there is much to do there. Once I receive a message containing what they understand and what they don't I quickly start sending them how it works which takes time for sure.
Also, in every of my followup messages, I always restate my commitment to helping them and ensuring they grow. This usually encourage some to start asking more questions.
Sometimes I take time to spell out they are not mandated to buy any products because many of them will ask which product are to sell to make money. I have to explain to them that SFI is not such, all we do is actions and if you feel you need to buy anything then it's at your discretion. This also put some to ease and want to know how to begin gather VP. Which I explain it through actions again, but you need to invest to earn more.
Few times, I explain to them the benefits of New Membership Pack which is meant for them at the rate of $20 per pack. It is meant for new members who really want to start growing. For the record there is no limit to the amount they can buy within their first 10days. Just to encourage them you could tell them to purchase a pack and then have them send their reciept so you can give a gift of $5- $10 Gift Certificate. They will know you are ready to help them. These are what they see as an impression to help them continue.
I always never forget to mention to include those who have up to 600VP in my Co-op just to see those who want to pick up, I get responses sometimes and its just important to keep it that way.
There is not more than to be genuine, and be responsible personally for the new affiliates
