Brainstorming is a great tool for collecting ideas/information from your team.
The focus would be to come up with ideas that would help your team grow their businesses, that would benefit your SFI team.
Using this tool has many benefits including:
- Develops team unity and spirit
- Brainstorm ideas are formulated into a plan
- Team members, because they contributed & the ideas are theirs, will have ownership and more commitment to the team plan or goals
- Can encourage members to be more active in SFI in putting the formulated plan into action
- As the Team Leader, carrying out a brainstorming session, will help you identify your future team leaders from those who participate. Future DD affiliates?
How you go about conducting your brainstorming session depends on how you communicate with your team. Obviously your team need to know what your want to do and are willing to take part.
You can send out questionnaires for your team to complete online
You can have online 'seminars'
You can have conference calls on such medias a Skype etc..
Use whatever means that can enable as many members of your team as possible to participate.
Whatever ideas your team 'brainstorm' need to be recorded then analysed and formulated into a plan.
To keep this a team activity, I would suggest that you form a small team of say 3-4 from those
who took part in the session. Let everybody know who this team members are and that they are going to use the ideas/information gathered to come up with a plan for the whole team. Your DD Affiliates would be the ideal people to be part of this planning team.
Implement the plan they come up with.
At the end of any specified period, review and analyse the plan for any expected outcome - growth/development. Let everyone know the outcome so far and what the next step/phase is going to be.
Your DD Affiliates, with your leadership & using the brainstorming technique, can be the driving force behind building your SFI team.
