How much time should I allow before I should expect to be producing income from SFI? How long do you want it to take? Not long at all! I don't think anyone signed up with SFI and said well I'll work hard for 5 years at it and then expect to make money! That's just plain silly. No one wants to waste their time on a fantasy. So I say you should work from day 1 to earn your first commission check in about 45 days and yes, it's very possible! The reason it takes 45 days or so (give or take) is because affiliates are paid retroactively. So this month's activity will not be paid until next month around the 10th or so. So you should be earning income in your first month. It may not be what you'd like it to be but it is still income!
However, if you are one of those person's who is looking for a six figure income from SFI then I'd say you need a longer range plan. How long depends on you and the type of affiliates you recruit. If you are a go getter and you have a network of go getters then you could very possibly be earning 6 figures in less than 2 years.
Yet, if you are passive and hit and miss and so is your network then you will die more than likely before you hit six figures! You can still make some good residual income after several years but why approach anything half-heartedly. Go all in and give it everything you got! Then if you hit your benchmark, set another benchmark. Set a 2 yr, 5yr, 7yr and 10yr benchmark. Set up smaller goals in between. That's what I am doing and I've been in for more than 5 years and I haven't hit six figures but I have managed to make some benchmarks. In the next 2 to 5 years I expect my current income to grow exponentially.
So, set smaller short term income goals and larger long range goals. Then stay on track with your progress and before you know it you will be make the income you desire. Take what you get in the beginning and reinvest it so that you can take a bigger draw in the future.
