My answer to this question is based on my own personal experience, I get 50 or more sign-ups every month because of my Standing Order. I enjoy online chat by this I mean live chat not email, the best form of communication is phone call by using Skype or What's app because it is free when you phone call other members.
Skype and Facebook messenger allows voice and video chat so this is my favorite form of communication because I get to see a real person on the other end and they also see who they are working with.
Most people that I have emailed or live chat always ask me to call them because they want to talk not type especially when using a cellphone it takes more time to type.
The first form of communication when you receive sign-ups is to use the PSA mailer or genealogy to send them a welcome email because you can send the same message to a group of several affiliates at once and it increases the likelihood of receiving your messages as opposed to emailing their personal email address. Then you will see which ones will answer which is only a small amount then those who respond to your emails are the ones you should contact by live chat to ser who has Skype and which ones want video chat.
