Open house get-together can be two types:
The First one, As the name suggests, it will be held in a Park, Community Hall or in a Hotel and not in a small enclosed space.
1. You can invite the local SFIérs, and the General Public from the local area, city, region etc.
2. You can announce in the Forum that a get-together of SFI members is being arranged in so and city, at such & such time at so and so place.
3. All those attending should give their consent well in advance (generally about one month).
4. Plan the meeting well. More than one members can unite to conduct the presentation.
5. Collect all the material like visiting cards, banners, Flyers etc. handy to show and recruit the new prospects.
6. If members are coming from other states to attend the meeting they should be told the expenditure involved at the local hotel.
7. The members should be called to attend early in the morning and a mid-morning refreshment should be arranged by the organizing committee.
8. If the presentation is likely to continue till 5-6 PM, a lunch is required to be arranged by the committee as well.
9. Member coming from other states should be provided with guideline to bus stand, railway station and airport.
10. At the end of the presentation process next meeting and place could be announced to be organized by the different local committee.
The second type of in-house get-together is rather simple and can be conducted locally at a small scale inviting people staying in your building and adjacent buildings.
This type of get-together may not bring many recruits, but is simple to conduct and your presentation would travel from mouth to mouth.
