How can I be effective recruiting affiliates face to face and one on one?
I think its great that you want to get together with a prospective affiliate for a meeting, as you say, “face to face” and “one on one”. And I think that this will give you the best opportunity to present SFI to them and the best chance to sign them up.
This person may be from your warm market or they could be a contact made through local advertising or even a chance meeting. Either way you will have either known them before or at least they will have been in contact with you so that you could set up the meeting. So you know at least something about them.
Before you meet, go over what you do know about your prospect. Make a list of what you perceive to be their main interests. Then do your SFI homework. Get as much information as you can about SFI to address their interests. And prepare yourself to talk about and demonstrate those aspects of SFI as best you can.
And when you meet, just be yourself. Talk as you normally do. Use your own words. Express yourself clearly. Let your enthusiasm shine through. Be prepared to tell them what you do, what your experience has been. And express your pleasure that they may become a part of your team.
Then dress for the occasion. This is what I do. I have bought a SFI cap and 3 T-Shirts (1 SFI, 1 TripleClicks, and 1 Eager Zebra Games T-Shirt). So I choose the T-Shirt I think will be most attractive to them and I wear it and the SFI Cap when I meet with them.
I also make sure that I take with me some of the products that I have bought for myself from TripleClicks. For instance I have bought a leather wallet, which I use everyday, and in it is my Payoneer Master Debit Card. And, of course I am wearing my SFI Cap and T-Shirt.
Incidentally each of these products I purchased with MRP and they also included FREE shipping. So they were all free gifts I have earned from my activity in SFI. That’s another two great sales points to talk about.
And think about where should you meet. I would suggest that the best place to meet would be either at your house or theirs. Their house might be even better because you can show them how they could work their SFI business from their own home, using the space and equipment that they already have.
I wouldn’t recommend a café or other public place. You want to be able to talk freely and to be able to demonstrate SFI, so you don’t want a noisy or busy place where you might be interrupted.
And because this is an internet business I think you need to have access to a computer. My desktop computer is a 27 inch Apple iMac. It is readily portable. So I can take it with me if I need to. But it doesn’t need to be your computer or laptop.
It may be even better to use their computer or laptop. By doing that you are demonstrating to them that SFI works on any device that has access to the internet. It is also a great way to demonstrate the security features of SFI because each new device that you use has to be verified.
Of course you should take your smartphone with you – and make sure you have plenty of data available on it, so that you can demonstrate to them how to use SFI “on the run” from your cellphone.
I have a HUGE SFI folder on my iMac in which I keep all sorts of information that I have collected and downloaded from SFI. It also contains a copy of all my TeamMails, Stream Posts, and a summary of where I was at in SFI - my rank and badges, VP, the number of TCredits and MRP I have, etc - at the end of each month. I find this information very useful to show my progress in SFI over the two + years that I have been an affiliate. So I also take with me my flash drive that contains an up-to-date copy of my SFI folder. In that way I can just plug that into their computer if I want to show them anything that is on my flashdrive.
Then, at the meeting, I address their particular interests. And I make it very practical. I login to my SFI Homepage and demonstrate to them how SFI works.
I don’t think that you really need paper hand-outs – your computer and internet access provides much more – and IT IS LIVE. So, use that. In that way you are really letting the SFI websites sell themselves.
Finally, keep the meeting short – no more than one hour. And don’t overpower them with too much information. Instead, observe their attitude and response and answer THEIR questions HONESTLY.
