When and how should I start preparing for my retirement from SFI?
Well, the short answer is NEVER.
The beauty of SFI is that we can keep operating our SFI business until the day we die or our health becomes such that it is impossible for us to continue. At which time our SFI business will become an asset in our estate that we can pass on to our children or someone else to continue.
But the great thing about this question is that it encourages us to think long-term.
Thinking long-term has been my perspective ever since I joined SFI (on August 29, 2013) so in a very real sense I have been starting to prepare for my retirement from SFI since then.
So how am I preparing for this event (retirement), which for me, will occur many many years from now? (I’m just a young 61 years old.)
Well, I am doing it by, each day, trying to build the biggest, most successful SFI business that I can. I love SFI and what it offers. It has given me a new lease-on-life and hope for the future. (And these things will also push back the time when I will have to retire from SFI.)
Simply put – I want to learn the system, practice the system, and reap the rewards.
I’ve got a long way to go – but that is where I am going.
