TCredits welcome and Cash Welcome are tools to keep our new affiliates active once they join SFI. This question is asked because you can not use both at the same time, but you can shift in using them on different time.
Although I have a preference but ultimately you have to follow what work for you. To know what will work for you you need to test both. Take two campaigns either by posting paid ads or buying PSA from TripleClicks vendor.
The campaigns must be the same, then use Tcredits welcome at first and the Cash welcome on the second. See how many percent of your PSA will become active, by using your welcome Tcredits or Cash welcome.
If I will only use one of them I would use the cash Welcome. For simple reason, familiarity. Although Tcredits and cash are two currencies uses in SFI but almost all new affiliates do not know what a TCredits are. but all will know what a cash or gift certificate is.
