Come month two however you will have to have a plan for getting the remaining action VersaPoints required to maintain Team Leader status.
For many they just buy additional t-credits and play auctions and games to earn their action VP 1 at a time. Sure, you can maintain BTL status that way but it's going to cost you a lot of money to do and beyond your Second Home CSA share you get you wont be able to honestly say you have a team that you built. Being a BTL for a second month does have one benefit and that is a $10 bonus added to your TripleClicks members account, which can help pay your standing order or help you buy something extra, but your cost will make that look like chicken feed.
The other option is to put your focus on recruiting active PSA who become EA2 during your month 2 which means you will need to be recruiting heavy during your month of training. For most that means investing in S-builder and PSA-to-Go or other PSA sources among our ECA.
You will only need a few who reach EA2 to help you make BTL but it can take hundreds of these referrals to get 2-3 active PSA to work with. Unless they become EA in month 1 and EA2 in month 2 you won't get the 100VP or more Sponsor Bonus based on their rank in time to qualify you for BTL in your second month.
One thing that helps me maintain my status and has even lead to time as a Silver Team Leader is answering these AskSC questions. You earn Action VP for each top 10 answer but that requires that you read your training materials and comprehend all you are learning, study answers given at the forum for similar question, and be able to articulate what you have learned so others can understand your answers.
No matter what you do it will take an investment of either time or money to be a team leader every month and the easiest to sustain is by having a team. You can even save money by focusing a lot of energy on creating PRM Sales at TripleClicks to cover your Sales VP requirements. The commissions you earn can be used to pay your standing order and even buy extra t-credits so you can reach an even higher rank faster but all of this requires that you focus on your training.
