You need to ask them a lot of questions. One of the things you must also know is that, your sponsor is the best person whom you have to look up to.
Ask them what is it that has made them successful in SFI and are where they are at the top. In reply, you will know what they did, and how they made it done. You in turn, follow these steps. Be serious minded. Take what you can afford and don't try to be like every one else. You must get to understand through what you'll learn from them, that it took a lot of hard work, time and investment to achieve it.
You should be determined and know that you are going to definitely encounter challenges no matter the availability of the resources you have. These are the things you have to maximize. They have to be your priority and focus.
You should know what actually you have invest your time or money on that will yield profit and show forth good results.
If you have a good upline team, they are suppose to know what to do. Every serious minded person will face their own business and head toward their success. SFI is not a place for you to spend time looking up to one upline member or the rest. You have to pave out your success out from here too.
