You can help them understand that there are only 3 things that we should be doing:
1. Earn VP listed in TO-DO LIST.
2. Find affiliates.
3. Teach affiliates to do the same.
Tell him that the progress will largely depends on how soon they can find active affiliates.
If they understand them and still say that SFI is not for them then it's ok but just ask them to allow you to send updates. Who knows he might change his mind some day.
