We can broadly classify the sponsored affiliates into three categories as shown below
i). Those who signed in initially but did not log in after a couple of days. This type will contribute to approximately 90- 98% of affiliates.
ii)Those who had started well with a bang but quit suddenly and become completely inactive will be around 1 to 10% of our affiliates.
iii) Those who are active from the beginning until they become successful - This is about 1-5% only- of our affiliates.
We should know their characteristics so that we know how to deal with them and what advise to give
Pertaining to your question, let’s deal with category No:(ii)only.
There may be various reasons for this type of affiliates becoming in-active. A few are illustrated below:-
a). Some do not have sufficient money to maintain their status; during first month they easily get into EA rank because of so many free VP that they can earn. But on the second following month they have to buy products or invest some amount to maintain their status. I have also had experienced similar PSAs under me .They are very much active in their first month then gradually slow down becoming less active.
b). A few of them have maintained their EA status for a couple of months and moved up to TL rank.But on reaching BTL status ,suddenly stopped logging in and “gone to sleep” literally. As a matter of fact, these PSAs were my ‘Movers’. The reasons may be personal like a) illness b) Middle age change of career c) Additional responsibilities and obligations in the family making it difficult to invest time with SFI.
c) Those that can not afford to recruit affiliates – the very foundation on which our SFI business depends-duplication.. The affiliate may realize he is spending more rather than earning, then he would quit.
d) Those who want to become rich overnight with quick money without building the foundation – This type will join for the first month and if they can not earn what they have in mind, they exit the business..
How to tackle this category of affiliates:
i)We affiliates should prevent the para "c" & para "d" to happen by proactively addressing these issues as early as possible while they are still active.
ii) I would go to the genealogy list, check each individual member who has become inactive and check their VP Ledger to see how they have previously been gathering their VP. I would then compose a team mail to these inactive members based on what I found in their VP Ledger. By using the filters in Genealogy, I would sort out which members I will be emailing. In my email, I would encourage the concerned affiliate by quoting my personal experience in SFI, how I myself got discouraged many a time and how I picked myself up up.
iii) Offers of Gift certificate, contests with prizes like T-credits ,GC etc can be arranged in the Leadership page & that would be very much welcome.
iv) My advice will be to keep the communication open by regular mails, include them in your weekly newsletters with updates and news of your team’s achievements, the latest star in your team, the best seller/s, top author in ASk SC etc.
v) I would mention in my emails that I like to be a part of their success and would indeed be happy to see them experience the fruits of their labor as they grow in their SFI business. Will maintain the continuity of these individual PSA/CSA mails on a weekly basis by motivating one another;
vi). I would establish a trust in our relationship- even though thousands of miles separate us-from the day the new affiliates sign up under my team, with all my messages, including the welcome message, weekly support messages . By doing this the PSAs will most likely share both the business and their daily life challenges.
vii) I would also point out in my mails, that the only real difference between success and failure will be his personal mindset, persistence and commitment!
viii) A word of caution; never be threatening or critical in your mails. Assume the worst reasons for them becoming inactive; like maybe involved in a serious accident / injury/ sudden illness etc. You should always emphasize in your our messages that SFI and you are there to help whenever they wish. As & when they do return let them know how pleased you are to see them again and thank them for being on your team.
ix) Send 'missing you' E-Card, or 'here to help' E-Card every now and then
x) Whenever any of these affiliates show signs of reactivating themselves (when they appear suddenly in your movers page), surprise them with
a) a gift of T-Credits
b)by re-assigning one of your PSAs to them. Try to find a PSA who comes from the same part of the world that they are in, so as to make it easier for them to communicate & duplicate.
xi) Encourage & motivate them to work very hard, with a constant focus to achieve their goals; to be strong, persistent and disciplined in their approach to the SFI business. Finally never give up on anyone who has shown strong interest in the past!
