First, go to genealogy and identify the affiliates from which countries they come from and the languages they speak. Secondly, the time zone they are in so that we will know whether they are on line or early in the morning when it is bedtime.
Effective Communication Channel through
(i) language
If possible, use the languages that they can speak or communicate with so that they can understand what we are talking about. Use language translator(s) if available to send mails or chatting.
In SFI, group mailers, PSA mailers, CSA mailers and individual email facilities are available. If no translator, then use English as the medium of communication of which they can translate upon receiving the mails.
You can use Forum, Stream and a2a friends to communicate within the SFI network.
Use SFI blog in your Leadership page to disseminate the news you want to share.
Other media like Facebook, Twitters, Wordpress, Google, and Pinterest are also effective communication media to use not only targeting at your affiliates but also to friends, and people who subscribe to these media.
(ii) Time Zone
SFI business affiliates are scattered throughout the world in different time zones.They can be accessed within 18 hours of their activities. 6 hours are for bedtime. Within the 18 hours they may be online so we need to be able to recognize if they are online when we can initiate chatting or send emails.
(iii) We can seek the assistance of our team members who can understand English to convey the messages to other affiliates in the languages they can understand. From this process, we can also learn and get the feedback from the affiliates.
If this communication problems can be solved or reduced, there is a tendency that these affiliates will remain active. We can incorporate other attractive offers and incentives boost up our business.
