It is appropriate to have a good strategy with respect to content, marketing aids, medium and target, in order to attract as many prospective TC members as possible, so below are my suggestions:
1. Gift cards are very effective in attracting TC signups and you may opt to use them to promote advertisements on your personal website, email marketing, safe lists, social media, face-to-face prospecting and distribution in strategic locations like stores, supermarkets, restaurants, cinemas etc. However, you need to exercise caution in order to avoid the indiscriminate giveaways of gift cards because fraudulent and unscrupulous prospects may take undue advantage.
2. You may also target games and auctions enthusiast by placing ads on sites where these targets frequent. Social media groups, online forums, fun games locations and discussion groups etc. You can place auction and EZ game flyers on physical locations as well as splash pages and banners on ad sites, Pay per clicks and Pay to click sites.
3. Ensure to promote popular and niche products where potentials customers are located like health/wellness and beauty products on health and beauty online and offline locations. There are several online health and beauty discussion forums and shops where you are allowed to participate and make recommendations. You need to promote the qualities and uniqueness of any product in order to improve your chance of signing TC members.
4. Email marketing is an attractive option if used carefully, especially if you have a purchased or opt-in list and you can also include TC promotion products like gift cards etc, in order to attract the attention of prospects who may be receiving various marketing emails. You can improve conversion rate by promising to issue gift certificates to a finite number of signups. The care you need to exercise here is to avoid spamming.
5. Set up a good website with distinct pages to promote various aspect of TC; ECA, Pricebenders, Games and Music. Ensure you include very good content and use appropriate keywords in order to improve Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for your website; the higher the SEO, the more visitors you will attract.
6. Link building is another method to attract new TC members. For search engines that crawl the vast area of the web, links are the streets between pages. When you use the appropriate link building techniques, the engines can discover how pages are related to each other and in what ways. By participating in links sharing with high traffic sites, the possibility of attracting visitors to your own TC related links is increased.
7. Lastly, offline traditional marketing methods can be useful and effective especially with targets of older demographics and segments of the population that are not attracted to the internet. You may promote TC membership by sending letters and include materials that provide impetus for follow ups by prospects like gift cards. You may also physically distribute TC X-cards, TC T-shirts and face caps among others.
In conclusion, I must mention that these methods are not silver bullet to attracting potential TC members because different methods work for different people, so you need to consider your target audience, medium and your budget, before you make a final decision as to what methods will best accomplish your objectives.
