Hi. This is an interesting and thoughtful question, and my advice (answer) would be :
Support in every possible way. Motivate your team members and tell them that within a few months "hard" work will be rewarded and it will start 'paying off'.
I also started out with little income and made a few Standing Order purchases using T-Credits and MRP's. Participating in Eager Zebra Games rewards you in so many ways - you don't need 'cash' to get started.
If they struggle with low income and Internet usage (like myself), there are Internet Cafe's available or Wi-Fi connections, and in my case (SA) the public Library - no excuse to stay "POOR" - SFI provides Free training and there's no obligation to invest money.
And best of all : if they are dedicated to improve their financial situation; they should READ, LEARN, WORK, PLAY on SFI!
