Great question!
Everyone of us needs to become Better Listeners in this business.

My answer : We Listen by READING our various replies.
We must learn to to be empathetic towards your new Prospect... Place yourself in their shoes.
ASK questions about your prospect, for example: Work/ Personal goals, current Situation, their "WHY" (why do they want their own business/ earn income from Network opportunity)

And then you need to classify your prospect in a group :
A) Motivated (this is usually your Movers)
B) Need guidance and motivation (they want it, but need constant help in beginning)
C) the Opportunist or Unmotivated (they are usually the ones who want to make a quick buck without working for it, or the ones who really is not cut out for this)

I am Excited about this new way of Creating our own 'Brochures' with our Collections.

Here's a few ideas to use it:
1. We can now target our Audience : say you want to focus on Children (parents always look for presents for kids) - now we can target the spesific audience we need to reach.
2. The selected audience can narrow their search even more and easier now.
3. Advertise your Collection to a certain audience group; Parents/Kids/Sport's Enthusiasts/Campers/Etcetera.
4. Be creative when you choose a Collection name: it must be enticing to your specific Audience.
5. Advertise as much as possible where the specified audience will see the Collection.
6. If not already : set up a Blog and advertise only one Collection to the Audience you target with your blog, or create several collections specified for your Blog audience only.
7. Create a FaceBook/Twitter/Blog account etcetera for every audience you can think of and advertise the related link in each one.

I am sure there are others in SFI with more Marketing experience that will provide us with more information and creative ideas relating to your question.
I can't wait to read all the Ideas, and get my Collections set up and out to my audiences.

1. Be Creative. Information overload becomes a problem daily....even I tend to scan my overloading inbox and the Subjects must be really good before I properly read the content.
2. Be Motivating and Positive - people NEED this in our daily overstressed lives.
3. Always be Available as soon as possible in answering their questions. You don't want to lose a prospective Mover, because you took too long to follow up or assist them.
4. Keep it short and even humoristic, it keeps their attention.
5. Always be Truthful. People are afraid of Scammers....and if you lied once, your credobilty is Gone.
6. Be friendly, caring, emphatic.... Everyone needs a Shoulder to lean on.
7. Don't be too Eager and Pushy.

I think it's a 50/50% risk -
Affiliates exchange inactive CSA's in the hope to motivate the new CSA's with no language barriers, but it does not mean that all your fellow country team members will indeed become Active.
There is a great chance that they might, but you must be willing to take Risks in this business Or else you might be 'stuck' with inactive members who does not understand your motivational mails due to Language translation.

Everyone knows that the most successful people took Risks in life, -- if it depends on how much your willing to Risk - Give it a try...

The Big Picture Initiatives refers to probably 'Thinking out of the Box'.
One affiliate asked in Ask SC about using the Television as a Marketing Tool...now that is Thinking BIG.

I did not yet go that far out of my Comfort Zone, but here is what I dream to do: Massive Successful Marketing to grow a Successful stream of Movers in my downline.

Since I'm a mom and Homemaker... I don't have the necessary skills yet to approach 'Out of the Box'- Marketing..
...and What Big Picture action am I using currently Then?
... I signed up for a few blog posts about Different kinds of Marketing tips and advice. Also Motivational blogs. These blogs, as well as SFI's training tips, (all provided for Free), Trains me and Motivates me to make my Dream come Alive.

We need to look outside SFI as well as inside, to broaden our minds and provide us more Creative thinking...: This way we can keep SFI 'fresh' and reach our own goals easier.

Remember to look outside for more 'Out of the Box' tips. And then reach for the Stars.

Hi,

I certainly can relate to this question...
It is Very Important, BUT if they Don't that could also be a Positive for YOU.

Here is my family situation:
1. My sister introduced me to SFI, but due to her own personal/financial problems.... she became inactive.
She still supports me (offline), but I want her to come back as soon she can, so that she can prosper like me...

2. My brother is a VERY sceptical person... he did his own research and told me "You are wasting your time." BUT this made me even more DETERMINED, lol.... I went back and did my own research and now I have an answer for every point he makes to persuade me otherwise.... I have learned a lot more from SFI because I need "Proof" for his arguments.... He is not yet convinced, but at least He's not telling me I'm wasting my time ANYMORE. And he even congratulated me for becoming a REAL Businesswoman, (I'm a stay at home mom) and this has Boost my confidence a lot.

3. My husband are not in the Least interested in my SFI Endeavors and he is also Sceptic. He wants to see money-growth before one has to invest anything.... But I'm slowly and gently working on changing his mind. For example....He's the first one I brag to, if I have won a PB Auction/EZ Game/ T-credits or VP.... or at the 10th each month when my Commission are calculated and paid out. (My commission are still small, but it grows monthly.)
He is becoming more interested as time passes.... I am determined to show him that I will succeed...
(once again because I'm a stay at home mom... and there is a perception that Homemakers are Not contributing to Household financially).... It is my Goal to earn more and help support my family.

4. I have 3 sons... and they are also (like their daddy) Sceptic. They are also jealous because now I'm am dividing my attention between them and SFI... BUT they LOVE it when I win an Auction... and my oldest Teenage son Love to help Mom out with Knock-out Trivia and Gold Streak : it becomes a 'friendly battle' between us to see who are more Clever.

From my experience.... IF THEY DON'T embrace your SFI Business :
Set it as your GOAL to prove to them that YOU ARE a Business SAVVY person, you Will grow beyond measure if you use this as a POSITIVE and Motivating source.

AND always Remember - SFI has lots of fellow Afilliates who are Your SFI Family....and with all of their support and help.... you don't need your blood relatives to hold you down.

In my opinion:

1) On your Stream tab : Short motivating messages to your downline (choose which group you want to target) Your active Affiliates will see these messages daily, if they log in daily.
2) Genealogy - send Teammails to your PSA's or CSA's or ALL of them. - Training and Duplication, Motivational, Tips.
3) Online Chat option if the downline member is online while you are. (Instant Messaging) -use this for duplication and training or just a friendly "Hello, How are You?"
4) Genealogy / Movers : select your Downline member's Afilliate snapshot : see how they are doing on their VP Ledger - and send them an E-card that conveys the correct message you want to get across :
for example : Welcome; Tip; Thank you; Inactive; Don't Go; etc.
5) Direct Email : Create a contact list for yourself with your downline member's contact details :
A) Some might have an approved email address (the green envelope)> they are the ones who will definitely receive your Genealogy mail letters,
B) The RED envelopes : they won't receive your Genealogy letters > you might want to email them from your Email directly.
C) additional contact info if they did complete their affiliate profile.
6) Skype/Facebook/Twitter, etcetera.... if they provide you with the necessary contact info.


Get ready to Communicate with any way possible to you and them.

One should always remember to Keep it Short and Simple.
SFI provides a lot of Training and e-mails to Train new affiliates and we are only to guide them along the way, until they understand SFI better.

I got short, effective notes from my upline when I started out, which lead me to being interested in the Topic at hand or to find out more what exactly they referred to.

In the beginning it also helps if you could include the specific link of the Topic your referring to you, this helps to get them to the correct link in swift motion.
