Good question - first, I would space out my action VP for one-time actions, such as LaunchPad, and reading the support indexes, over the first 2 or 3 months. Just do the minimum each month to remain EA or - it's even possible with a standing order to be team leader for the 1st 3 months just from all the action points you can get when starting.
Being team leader gives you bonus t-credits each month, matching VP on PSA and CSA EA2 versapoints, and 2nd home CSA's. It's well worth it to be team leader in helping you get started.
Besides that, I would just focus more on marketing the SFI site...
