The personal touch versus bulk mail? This question really goes beyond SFI. It happens in our lives too. Here's my own suggestion. You should contact your PSA's directly especially at the beginning. The reason is from my experience, everyone like a little personal touch. It shows the person you care. They may be obliged to mail you too when they need help.
I've also found I appreciate the personal touch more when my sponsor links with me directly than when he uses the PSA mailer. You get more responses this way too.
