There are advantages and disadvantages for both the platform, depending on a given case.
To make it clear, let us list the advantages and disadvantages of both:
Advantages of using SFI platform:
Using this platform, we can send messages to multiple PSAs (when number of PSAs is at least more than one) just by single click on ‘SEND’ button saving your bulk amount of time (of course, also effort) in the process of formatting the one complete individual message.
Same message you can send to all of your PSAs and CSAs (or to selected PSAs and CSAs – selection by different parameters) in one click.
Disadvantages of using SFI platform:
If these PSAs are PSAs in proper sense (i.e. if you know them personally and they joined SFI not through your advertised link), then the personal touch in the messages will be missing which makes stronger bond with most of your PSAs.
Of course, you can sub-classify your PSAs into proper and joined through other channels by using different KCs and use SFI platform for those PSAs coming from other sources/channels.
Major disadvantages of this platform is that each individual of your PSAs will be intimated, by a foot note at the bottom of the message, that actually the message has been sent to him/her by SFI on behalf of you.
Advantages of using your own email ID:
Each individual of your PSAs will have the feeling of personal touch of yours. Moreover, you can add/change the body and or salutation of your messages to each PSA, keeping the main body of your message same for all (or you can change here and there, if you feel, for a particular PSA).
Disadvantages of using your own email ID:
In spite of having the advantage of creating top-notch quality message for each individual PSA, in every respect it is time consuming and laborious and over and above it consumes GB which is limited for most email service providers.
