If you want to create personal contacts with your PSA specially at the beginning you will want to use direct email address.
For the beginners always send an e-mail. Many beginners do not manage to SFI account and you will need to send them a message on their e-mail to make sure that they are going to read it. Later, when you get a better contact with your PSAs, you can agree to how you communicate via e-mail, SFI messaging, social networks, etc. Be sure to use team mailer for important information you want to forward to all your members.
If you want to send a weekly newsletter, a blurb, or just a pep talk, then the PSA Mailer is fine. But if you really want your PSAs to get started or learn the ins and outs of SFI, then contact them personally via email.
There are options in the genealogy to send mails to your downline you can use any option...through Team-Mail, through e-Mail, or just through their chat when they are available.
