I would say "Yes" even though they are being guided by the same policies, terms and conditions under SFI. Propective ECAs should understand that
1. Products vary from countries to countries.
2. Not all have standard products even though they have some similarities
3. Shipping charges and subject to customs regulations.
4. Certain products are prohibited to be sold to certain countries and region.
5. Due to climatic and geographical factors, some countries have different and specific needs.
6. Customs and cultural practices of each country/region are different
7. Different currencies and exchange rates.
8. The need to have a license from SFI to operate the business under SFI
9. Submission of product designs, packages, descriptions and values should be clearly stated.
10. Any terms of disclaimer should be clearly defined.
11. Each ECA is being introduced by a sponsor.
12. Make it clear that ECA is not a 'sunset' business. It's a long term investment. So product improvement and service are important to make ECA successful.
13. Our approach is towards entrepreneurship formation where an ECA starts with some products and gradually build up with new and innovative products meeting the needs of the customers.
14. Encourage sourcing for local products which are reasonably cheap and affordable rather than resale imported products which might cost higher.
15. Prospective ECAs should understand their own country/region administrative procedures and regulations in joining the international market. Transparency is important to avoid money laundering.
