We have three options when we want to advertise anything from TripleClicks:
1) We can advertise the whole global market know as TripleClicks
2) We can advertise an individual store with TripleClicks known as an ecommerce Affiliate store
3) We can advertise individual products or groups of like products from and ECA or several ECAs of TC Direct products.
The trick is to advertise to the group that would be most interested in buying from your ad. The broader your offering is, the more people who might be interested in what you are advertising. Except that You will be harder pressed to come up with an ad that really attracts the most people.
The more specific that you are, down to a single product, the more exact you can be of attracting the people most likely looking for that item. Once you have those people inside the walls of TC, they have the option of looking around.
One note of caution that I think many people miss is that SFI requires us to use their text ads when we advertise. Since there are no text ads for each individual product, you will have to use caution in writing your own ad. Do not promise anything that you do not have control over. Remember, what you advertise must be shipped by someone else. Will they ship it in a timely fashion? Check the ratings of the ECA and the product. It is best to take the content of your ad from the details given by the ECA about the product.
