We are constantly reminded by the training within SFI that this is not an opportunity where you will become rich overnight. That aside, another important lesson learnt from this business is to lead by example. Both these factors are instrumental in helping you strive for better results. This is why this question is very important for me to answer through my experiences.
You cannot really force anyone to continue with the business unless they want to and they are willing to put in more than 100% of their efforts. I have come across this scenario more than once where
1..the affiliate in question opted out because she felt that she was working alone because she did not have an active team;
2..the affiliate gave her time, invested in a SO and did not have an active team under her.
In the 2nd case, not only did I talk to the affiliate but her immediate Sponsor was very patient and took her through each and every problem. We collectively encouraged her to continue and today she has an active team and is making a profit. The reason she did not quit was more her decision than our support.
We have also had many cases where affiliates leave only to return to the business and regret having left in the first place. I cite this as one of the more motivating aspects to point out to the affiliate who feels that their efforts will not be rewarded.
However, the best example if mine. I felt the same way but I did not allow that to cloud my judgement to want to leave and this is likely to have a better impact on the decision making of those affiliates who wish to quit.
