To start with, their profile tells you what language they speak. Knowing that, you can communicate more effectively.
On their profile, you can look at their VP ledger. That give you knowledge as to what tasks they could be doing but are not. If they regularly miss certain tasks, you can send an eCard to give them a tip, or contact them directly to find out if there is a reason, ie: they may not understand how (like AskSC, I found many didn't know they had to answer 10 questions), or they may be having difficulty with it & needing a little guidance).
You can see in some photographs if they have a partner or family. This gives a clue as to where their interests & passions lie. You can then work with them on those.
Knowing what country they are in can give you an idea of cultural restrictions - they may be unable to use the internet much, their could be religious issues. This helps you ensure you do not offend them.
I am sure there are many other benefits to knowing a PSA's Profile, but these are a few I think are important.
