Becoming a great salesman or saleswoman requires knowledge in diverse ways,
1, of self, to remain focussed without minding external pressures and forces, one should stand and never give in.
2, knowledge of possible reation from different people, this is so critical as a single person is capable of dis-organising one, if care is not taken, so, pre-knowledge of future customer's behaviour is critical, and should be handled critically, as many situation will influence several people's attitude at a point in time.
3, knowledge of season, to determine which product sells better at a particular period.
4, knowledge of product, which to a large extent determines the degree of acceptance by people.
Great salesman/woman must possess this as it is a convincing element of trial by prospects who are just getting to see, hear and know about the product.
Of great importance too is having the courage to reach out to as many as possible, even though, with marketing skills, to go by the way of some selected ones as time/ season/ environment/ mood dictates
