As much as we would like a magic wand that could make our affiliates become serious, there isn't one. However, you can be a great sponsor and maintain a strong relationship with your affiliate. That means learning what your affiliate wants and needs and doing what you can do to help them achieve their goals. Sadly, we cannot always provide the type of motivation they need because they may not be forthcoming with the information we need from them. Sometimes you can only do your best.
