Your question is very interesting. Actually I have an experience about generating signups with Pay Per Click (PPC) advertisement. PPC advertisement is an internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites. You, as an advertiser, pays the publisher (typically a website owner) when the ad is clicked. Using PPC is quite costly especially if your ad is regarding making money online or work at home and the likes.
You can choose from many PPC publishers to advertise. Of many, I have tried Google Adwords and Bing Ads ( Yahoo Bing Network). To advertise in Google Adwords, you cannot advertise and bring potential affiliates directly to SFI site. To pass through, you need to advertise using your domain, and after that you smoothly direct your potential prospects to SFI sites.
If you want your text ads or banners to be listed among top lists (example: at a position 1 to 10 ) so that surfers will catch their eyes on your ads, you need to put a high bid amount on your selected keywords. Your keywords must be carefully thought of so as to create a relevance with your ads and landing page or site.
So far, I got some amounts of signups with PPC. If you use catchy but real and honest text, you will get a high click-through and thus high conversion. Anyway, the quality of your signups are debatable. Some people say they get good affiliates while others say so so. It is up to you to guide your affiliates to become your stars. It depends on your effort as well as your luck.
