The simple answer should not surprise you.
The true serious affiliate does not need much convincing. If you have to tell someone something to convince them to ensure they are serious since they were not or did not seem like it to start, then guess what, they are not serious most likely.
The true serious affiiate is the one that you will likely do the least to find and actually inherit by osmosis it will seem and just works without you doing much of anything. Again, we are just talking about the true serious affiliate.
Unfortunately, we will have to go thorugh mainy not so serious affiliates and expend time and effort to find the serious ones.
This will sound crazy but my experience has been that my top long term true serious affiliates still with me today and have been for a while we're obtained by them coming to me not me seeking them. I have not had to prospect anyone at all and that is were strategy comes in. Why prospect when you can attract. Why expend energy and effort when they will come to you effortlessly.
This is likely the question that will better serve you as nobody likes to have to go prospect anyone if they can avoid it.
With that being said, everyone of my top affiliates came to me through my blog indirectly by clicking on a SFI banner. This is the secret. You want serious affiliates then provide quality content and they will eventually come to you and you will have only provided what you like do and what they are seeking. We call this highly converting leads or traffic.
It is the most effective form of lead building there is and also the least amount of effort if done effectively. I say blog as it worked for me as I blogged about startup home based business systems that earn you multiple incomes. The search engines picked that up and guess what your serious affliate is out there searching ends up on your blog by there own account and likes what they read and the sees a banner and they click the banner to end up at your gateway by their choice.
This is the key. Traffic server did not drop them there in hopes of a click they wanted to go there on their own accord. This is how you build an effective serious affilate pool and there is no prospecting other than providing quality content consistently.
Why be complex when you can be more effective doing less and simple.
