As a leader, the best way to maintain and boost momentum to your group is to lead by example. Participate in activities and when you win/progress, share it with your group in your messages, news letters and your blog. Actions speak louder than words. If your group sees your badges, they will see that it can be done. That's what badges are there for, they are not there for decorations, you earned them, they are the proof that you did it. Your badges will motivate them enough. All in all, lead by example, then your group will follow.
