SFI's advice is that you can help too much if you are sending them money or gift certificates. Personally I don't think you can help too much if you do it wisely and set aside what you can afford and don't go beyond that number. By afford, I mean both time and money. Here are some beneficial ways you can help.
1. Start by writing them messages and being willing to answer any questions or concerns. If they respond, then I'm more apt to help them.
2. Check their ledgers about once a week or more often if needed and let them know where they can improve. Frequent E-card tips are great.
3. Set up easily won contests on your leadership page that they can participate in to earn gift certificates or other SFI items.
4. Send frequent E-cards validating their wins and milestones.
5. If you see them getting below the green line, and they are working the system, send them a $2.00 gift card. This will usually bring them over the green line.
6. $2.00 gift certificates go a long way if you instruct your members to use them for 1 Tcredit purchase. This gives them 104 VP which often can make the difference between being an EA or not.
7. So many of our members are financially challenged and don't have the resources to spend in SFI. Offer to send them something in return for doing something that helps you. For instance offer to purchase 1/2 of the New Member packet if they make the fast track. Offer a reward If they transfer buy three items.
8. Sometimes one of my members has a problem making their rank and they ask for extra help. If I can see that they have done everything they possibly could and still haven't made it, I will suggest something I think would help and if they complete that task and I have the resources I will help them with a gift certificate.
9. I have been fortunate in that the people I have helped have been responsive and done what I asked. In fact, I usually calculate what they have helped me earn to see what I can afford to help them with.
10. One help that we can all do is to set up a S-builder coop for our members and put them in the loop. This is inexpensive help and if they don't do anything you will get the members if they quit. You can work with level two and below as well as with your PSA's. If their sponsor is active, I contact them and ask if they mind if I help their members in their name. This has helped me and them maintain deeper groups.
