As to your question on helping your affiliates too much I must say yes it is possible to help them too much.
Remember your affiliates are building a personal home based business that they must learn to build on their own. If you are doing things that your affiliate should be doing themselves then you are helping to much.
It is good to help your affiliates when they have questions or when they need some motivation. The best way to help them is to give them the needed links to look up the information that they have questions about. This will teach the affiliate where to look for the answers themselves.
Your goal is to help them all you can but don’t make it so they will depend on you to do the things that will build their business. You don’t want to create a base of dependent affiliates – if something were to happen to you then all the affiliates you were helping will not be able to keep going.
You are also leading your affiliates in how to get duplication going within their own team. Showing them how to find the answers they need is very easy to duplicate.
Always remember you are being an example to your team as how to work their home business. If you are giving out to much help you are going to have some affiliates that determine they are not capable of giving the same kind of help to their own teams because they either cannot afford the money or time that you are doing so they may just give up entirely.
Personally I have found a much better way to help my affiliates and that is to use “incentives” (rewards) for your affiliates when they accomplish certain task. I always have a small incentive program that I list on my recognition page along with a list of the top ten affiliates who have qualified for those incentives.
When I started doing this it sparked a few “sleepers” to become active and I also noticed there was a drop in the questions that I was receiving about the “basics” with SFI and TripleClicks.
Your responsibility is to help create leaders in your team – not dependent children.
