Any hesitation or drop offs of players will increase your chances of winning if your on top. You must know when to push ahead full and when to draw back and let your competition run down. Just don't postpone bidding as the clock counts down.
If you can command the Autobidder you will dominate the bidding process. Keep in mind that if more than one Autobidder is engaged TCredits will be used up very fast. Someone will usually deactivate their Autobidder when this happens. If someone is not monitoring at the time this happens they may find out their T-Credits were used up. Only you can decide when to draw back and bid manually until you have another opening to take back the Autobidder.
Manual bidding can work for you in the same way. The key is to dominate by staying top bidder. Every time you are outbid you would respond in kind to remain on top or draw back and let it play out. If your competition are strong players it can be tough to win. You will just have to decide what you will do based upon your particular situation and what is most important to you at the given time.
