We all have 24 hours a day. For those of us in SFI, we learn how to allocate our time depending on our present circumstances in life.
For someone retired from the workforce, it seems I may now have the time in the world to focus on SFI. Not so! I have other interests as well, so must set aside a time for what I love doing- reading, gardening and a bit of writing.
I'm not a maths person, so I speak in minutes/hours instead of percentages.
The major part of my time is devoted to SFI though. First thing in the morning, with a hot mug of coffee, I would spend 30 minutes checking my inbox for messages from SFI and my team, read the latest SFI News. At this time, there's no access to SFI Daily To-Do until 4 PM in Melbourne, so that leaves plenty of time to do laundry and gardening. After lunch, I'll read a book, or write a page or two of my memoir, until it's time to go back to my work desk at 4 pm to do my daily tasks.
Daily Tasks - 15 minutes.
Eager Zebra Games 1 - 2 hours. This is done later.
Pricebender auction - 1 hour, if it goes longer, I quit but not until I've won the Flash Drawing about 3 times, which is the maximum.
For weekly tasks, I set aside 15 - 20 minutes writing a draft of my weekly message, normally done first thing Monday morning, submit it and get the points later, along with reviewing TConnect page and Stream Post. Action will take 15 minutes.
When a bunch of new sign-ups arrives, I would spend a minimum time between 15 - 30 minutes sending Welcome E-cards first, then follow up with welcome emails later in the day, so with 30 more minutes spent at sending the follow up email I can despatch 20 - 30 emails in one go.
Advertising is done through a share in S-Builder Co-op, PSA TO GO, shares from good ECAs for sign-ups with hit-tracking, as well as using personal contact. This activity does not need a big slice of my time - about 20- 30 minutes.
Visiting the Forum, about 30 minutes to an hour, especially if there are many interesting posts to read and to comment on.
Submitting answers to Ask SC, I give myself 1 hour to read the question and draft an answer. I do this when insomnia kicks in.
So when all the important daily tasks are done, I can focus on the other parts of SFI and TC business a bit more in between cooking, doing housework, laundry, gardening, reading and going out and enjoy a balanced life.
