If you want to know more about them and want to really know whether they are serious, then check out their badges. If they are really into it, they should be at least an EA2 with a standing order. This helps you understand that he/she is committed to his/her business and serious about it.
I am not saying that he/she should be an EA2 to generate sales. Even as an affiliate, he/she can generate sales. But if he/she generates enough sales, then they can always become an EA2.
