First of all, in almost 4 years, I don't think that I have ever had a new PSA answer my opening chat. The first one before they log off for the first time. Maybe they've already left their computer but didn't log off, or they didn't see the notice for the chat, or they thought it was a spammy pop up, or they were freaked out because they thought we could see everything they were doing.
I wouldn't want to do a business where I thought that by logging in, I was opening up a window that lets the world see what I am doing. Not only have I never had anyone answer my chat while they are first signed in, but so very often they never log back in after that.
So perhaps we should put in a word about how we see their work and that no one else can see it, only the sponsor and co-sponsor, the two people most interested in their gaining success.
From there introduce yourself and tell them you have a longer letter that will follow in their email that they can save for further reference. Remember, if they don't know how to save a chat, the chat will be hard to study at a later date.
So put the important facts in an email. Use the chat to keep things light and friendly. Offer to answer or discuss things that are on their mind at the moment.
End your chat message on a good note, before you put your foot in your mouth, or bore them, or frighten them with a long list of TO Do's. Don't be over-bearing.
Show your enthusiasm as you sign out.
