I would tell them not to quit. I might offer them a gift certificate or gift card to let them know they are not alone. I would also give them tips on how to utilize the gift certificates to help them drive their business forward.
It may be a gift certificate for more recruits, TC credits, etc.
I would ask questions and gain insight into what they may be doing wrong or not doing at all. Was it something I suggested that didn't work? Was it something that they read within the SFI community that turned out bad. Or was it something they were possibly trying to do on there own and they happen to run into a scam or something. Whatever it may be I would get to the bottom of it to try and resolve the issue that is hindering the progress.
I would advise them that SFI WORKS! If it were not so, they would no be around since 1998. Before the power of the Internet really took flight! This business works both online and off. It has a proven track record. How many other companies -- that have been around since 1998 -- let people without a high school diploma make six figures a year?
I would try to motivate them in a way not to stick around for my beneift or SFI's benefit, but for their benefit. It is a system that WANTS them to succeed.
I would basically just advise them to give it more time. I would set up phone calls, advertising campaigns, give them some top flight recruits (if they are serious themselves), to help push them to the next level.
I would give them insight into my life and let them know I have been there. I think a lot of folks starting out in this industry have. I would let them know when I was faced with the same dilemma, I worked harder and did not get upset. Not saying that this is what THEY should do, I am just saying this was my thought process as I struggled to see the results.
