By doing so you automatically qualify for EA every month. You can then concentrate on building up your team of affiliates.
If you cannot afford a SO of 1500 VP, choose a product of lesser VP as your SO and make up the rest by doing your 'to-do-list' and collecting VP via, sales, purchases, auctions, games, contests etc..
