SFI has given you personal gateways for free. They are SFI sponsoring websites only. If you select proper advertising places and methods, you need not own your own website or start a blog.
If you have your own website you will have to make it visible to others and you need traffic.You need your own domain + hosting. Hosting will cost you monthly. The advantage of having your own website is may be you can use it to advertise where SFI gateways are blocked.
If you are already a blogger it is a great idea to start blogging about SFI and triple clicks when you are new to SFI. If you are not a regular blogger , you do not need to start a blog. But remember you get VPs to put a banner of SFI in your own blog as per the getting started actions. So as such to earn those VPs you should create a blog and start blogging regularly.
When you become a team leader having your own website will be very useful probably it is necessary as a veteran Internet marketer.
