For some people, being in SFI is another stream of income to supplement their regular job. For others, they have dove in with both feet, running their SFI business full-time.
The answer to that question varies with the individual.
But I reality, nobody desires to be mediocre-otherwise, they wouldn't have joined in the first place! Three universal goals come to mind, however:
1. Become the best learner. Learners are earners.
2. Participate.(This one is obvious, but that's where many people miss it.)
3. NEVER, and I MEAN NEVER, be afraid to ask questions.
And most importantly: Have Fun! SFI is a fun business run by rugged individuals who weren't afraid to step out. Do those four things, and everything else will fall into place.
Set your goals high, but achievable. Then celebrate as you take each important step toward freedom.
