I don't think trying to bribe your downline is a good way to conduct your business. I offer contests where my downline can win Gift Certificates and TCredits as incentives and to keep them motivated and working towards goals. It's just a way to reward them and give them a little something extra for working so hard and being active team members.
It's also a way to let my team know that I care and am interested in their success. Sometimes just that little bit of investment can be encouraging to a downline member who is struggling. Even now the encouragement I receive from my upline motivates me to strive to be as good a sponsor and upline member as they are. It also encourages me when I get frustrated and it seems things are not going to work out the way I want them to.
