There is a lot of common ground with these 2 demographics, so you could focus on the things they have in common and target both groups at the same time!
E.g. Both groups potentially have some free time, although I can hear many homemakers laughing at that idea!
Both groups have many people with Internet access at home and some space where they can get organised to do business from home.
Both groups have people who are out of the 'job' market and may be suffering financially from losing the opportunity to be in a regular paid job, and so have great motivation to start an online business.
On the other hand both groups have people who don't have any free time, don't have the space or Internet access needed and who don't need or want an extra income!
If you still want to target one or the other specifically then focus on that group and try to understand the life issues that they may be facing.
Do you have friends in either group? How old are you? Do you naturally relate to either group yourself? The answers to these questions can help you decide where to focus.
Firstly, retired, or close to retirement. They will be interested in SFI if they are worried about their income in retirement, especially for lower paid workers or self-employed people who often neglect their pensions contributions!
People, especially men, often worry about retiring because they think they will be bored and have no idea what to do with their spare time! These people can be very interested in starting an online business to keep their interest up and to make them feel they can still 'do' something useful, especially a business that's as flexible as SFI, even if they don't need the money!
Secondly homemakers. They often don't have much free time, but they can feel very frustrated at getting little or no contact with adults during the day! Although SFI is online and so it's not the same as seeing people face to face it's still something that gives you some contact with people and engages your brain in a different way to dealing with babies or small children!
It is true that often homemakers don't have much free time, but SFI gives amazing flexibility so that they can do a little bit whenever they get a chance, at any time of the day. Developing an online business also gives them a chance to put more effort into it when they have more time, I.e. gives them an alternative to having to go back to a full time paid job when the children are older or if they face financial difficulties. This would give the advantage of having a full or part time job but with no commuting time or costs and flexibility to spend time with the children in holidays and if they get sick, and to guarantee to be at home when the children get home from school!
