Targeting adverting to both group by making your ads reflect the things that are relevant to each group is good. I really don't think you should limit your advertising to just one group.
SFI appeals to the needs of all demographics whether it is college students looking for extra income for school expenses or retirees looking for extra income for vacations. To limit yourself to a certain demographic is limiting your income potential.
The best advise I can give you is to target your adverting to the demographic you are trying to reach but don't limit yourself to one or two demographics.
