For example, in your mail ask the respondents to give you feedback, even constructive criticism. Aim at getting a dialogue going, this will show your team that they also are valuable, which, in turn, will create a stronger team. Don't be afraid to ask for ideas or advice from your team-members, and always offer to give help and advice to your team as well.
